Ambiguous forms

Olga Wardęga (b.1998) is a Polish visual artist. She uses her painter approach in different mediums like audiovisual installations, textile paintings, moving images and videos. She draws her inspiration from travels and memories of colors, structures and layers. Her works are often site-specific and collaborative. Olga took part in many residencies, individual and collective exhibitions in Poland and abroad.

Christoph Zeckel (b.1994) is a German/Malaysian experimental musician and sound artist & tinkerer based in Porto. Seeing sound as a playground and a field of exploration while drawing inspiration from the natural world and its unique complex compositions, he creates works based on field recordings and obscure technologies, seeking to elicit a sense of wonder and meditative listening space.

During my art residency in El Hacedor, I collected casts of the facades of abandoned buildings, holes created over time, and stones protruding from irregular walls. The abstract casts are pareidolic, resembling familiar shapes: objects, people, and animals. Some casts preserve pieces of architecture, such as stones and sand from the walls, or mosses that overgrow the ruins.
