Polvo de Rocío en Una Parra

The moment I started writing about the fictional landscape of the duck’s inverted eyelid, I started thinking about the landscape as a possibility to explore between words and the space from where
images inhabit. In practical terms, it would mean working with a sense of
orientation/errancy/detour through the atmosphere of a place through sculptures and
sounds.

The project is an invitation to dwell temporarily amidst the liminality ajar of the opening and
closing eyes. It is not a projection/speculation on how a duck with inverted eyelids looks and
deals with images, but it regards the encounter and being looked back from this
metaphorical inversion. The exploration lies in the constant rearrangement of
spatio-temporal configurations when we are encountered by something that ‘looks back’,
reemerging memories, prompting sensation and opening for different imaginaries.
